Visit Stirling-Rawdon Website Launch

The Stirling BIA has been a part of Stirling for years, focusing on beautifying the town’s core and supporting the local businesses there.

However, over the last few years, there’s been a desire for the BIA to include the whole Stirling-Rawdon business community, and now they are making a move to do just that!

This past summer, the Stirling BIA has become the Stirling-Rawdon BIA and is investing in supporting businesses throughout Stirling-Rawdon.

Starting with an investment into supporting a social media presence on both Facebook and Instagram focused on highlighting the businesses in the region through its newly branded “Visit Stirling-Rawdon.” These social media pages hope to showcase all the incredible businesses around the municipality and encourage both locals and visitors to explore all that the area has to offer.

They have also just launched a new website that will feature Stirling-Rawdon BIA members in its searchable business directory, as well as news and event listings about things going on in the region.

One of the most significant opportunities this has created is that the BIA has now opened up memberships beyond just those in the village. Until now, membership was restricted to businesses with a brick-and-mortar location in town through a municipal levy. Now any business in Stirling-Rawdon can purchase a membership for the BIA for just $75 a year.

This membership gives business members a business listing on the Visit Stirling-Rawdon website, social media promotion through the Visit Stirling-Rawdon channels and invitations to special business support training sessions hosted by the Stirling-Rawdon BIA. Most importantly, it also gives them voting rights at the Stirling-Rawdon BIA meetings, allowing them to have a voice at the table and a say in the direction of the BIA.

When asked about this new direction, Mary-Louise Belanger, Chair of the Stirling-Rawdon BIA, said, “I’m thrilled to be able to welcome more businesses into the BIA and have more people actively involved. Stirling is an amazing community with a huge heart for supporting each other, and this move to be more inclusive of all of Stirling-Rawdon is long overdue. This is such a great opportunity for our community.”

As more people look to support local businesses and discover new businesses, the new Visit Stirling-Rawdon looks to make it easy.
