Steve Patterson is... Patterdad
Many Canadians recognize the name Steve Patterson. He’s been a crowd favourite since his first Just for Laughs Gala appearance back in 2004 and as host of the long-running hit show The Debaters on CBC since 2007.
But what they may not know is how Patterson’s perceptions have shifted since he became a dad to two precocious daughters. Those new perceptions are on grand display in his new show which picks up on the themes introduced in his popular book published by Penguin Random House Canada in 2021 “Dad Up!” From being outsmarted to being outrun to being outnumbered (current household rankings have him clinging to 6th place in importance behind his wife, his daughters, their dog, and whichever stuffed animal is most essential in any given week), Steve struggles to come to terms with the responsibilities of being a dad. But fortunately for audiences, his struggles are pure comedic delight. Come join this iconic Canadian comedian on a fun ride that will warm your heart, rekindle memories, and maybe most importantly, get you out of the house and laughing with strangers. Which, really, is the best gift families can give to each other.

The Next Generation Leahy
As with all forces of nature, the music and energy created by The Next Generation Leahy simply cannot be contained. The drive to create music is powerful within each of the Leahy children. It has given rise to multi-instrumental talents, whose dynamic live performances have been described as “astounding” and “breathtaking.”
For the last several years, Next Generation Leahy has performed across North America, and shared the stage with the likes of The Chieftains, We Banjo 3, The Tenors, and Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy.
Belying their young ages, these siblings are all accomplished multi-instrumentalists whose live performances are filled with the high-energy, infectious music associated with the Leahy name. However, not content to play only the music of their Celtic heritage, these musicians explore many genres of music and pull influences from far and wide. Fiddle, cello, French accordion, singing, piano, and French-Canadian step-dancing serve to bring their unique style of music to life.
The music that lives in each of these young people - which is so joyful, so positive, and so rare – overflows from them and affects audiences who have witnessed something truly unique and remarkable.

The band always conjures up that down home feeling where all your relatives and neighbours drop by for a traditional kitchen party, creating a lively high energy performance every time.
All of the lads' energy and experience has culminated in a three album collection available in CD and DIGITAL through the band, and on all major platforms. These albums continue to be seated somewhere between original upbeat party tunes and beautiful storytelling to creative re-imaginings of traditional favourites.

The Harrowing of Brimstone McReedy
The Harrowing of Brimstone McReedy is a play by Eric Woolfe (House at Poe Corner, Doc Wuthergloom’s Haunted Medicine Show) based on the Faust legend. Woolfe uses puppets and close-up magic to tell an eerie tale of unholy larceny and Klondike gold, based on the sworn testimony of the miserable souls who survived this terrifying ordeal. Strange things loom in the midday moon, where lost men moil for gold.
Our hero, Brimstone, is caught up in the Canadian Klondike Gold Rush of 1897. An alchemy of historical fact, ancient legend, true stories of Old West grifters and card sharps, the works of HP Lovecraft, Algernon Blackwood and Robert Service, and a good deal of heartbreak and whimsy, this epic tale tells the story of a two-bit conman and how he lost his true love to the dark spirits of the North as a result of his greed and lust for gold and “the sure thing” game.

Winner - Outstanding Narrative Feature & Outstanding Direction, Art of Brooklyn Film Festival

In order for Liza to cope with the impending death of her estranged mother, she retreats to a 70's variety show in her mind where the all-powerful host is her own mother, Rosa, who leads a cast of people from Liza's past and present, all a jumble in her mind. Rosa hosts the show in Liza's head with all the bravado and pizazz of Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, and Rosemary Clooney. She sings, and dances, and yuks it up, all in Liza's imagination. Scene by scene, song by song, Liza works through another part of their past in an attempt to see her mother in real life without losing herself in the process.

Dwayne Gretzky Concert
Dwayne Gretzky is a 10+ piece juggernaut that brings to life the greatest songs of all time, this talented group of Toronto musicians ignites audiences with their charm, fidelity and theatrical flair. Celebrating classic pop and rock, from Fleetwood Mac to Fatboy Slim, Dwayne Gretzky has delivered electrifying renditions of over 700 songs.
Whether reinterpreting a classic in their latest recordings or playing one note-for-note at a live show, Dwayne Gretzky continues to shatter conventions and bring people together in a celebration of the songs we all forgot we loved.
Widely hailed as ‘Canada’s reigning champs of nostalgia,’ Dwayne Gretzky transcends cover band status. The music collective’s performance of any one of the more than 700 classic songs in its catalogue not only showcases the abundant musical talents of each member but is also a thrill to experience. When all is said and done, Dwayne Gretzky is as much fun to watch as it is to listen to.
With a still growing and still fervent fan base, the buzz around Dwayne Gretzky was greatly bolstered by two marathon live-streamed shows on New Year’s Eve in 2020 and 2021 that allowed live music-starved viewers to enjoy a ‘night out’ in the pandemic-safe comfort of their homes. But as successful as those virtual shows were, the band’s curated nostalgia trips are best experienced live as the set list captures the unique joy of turning a radio dial and being surprised by the familiar.
